Today, on Earth Day, we are proud to celebrate our ongoing commitment to sustainability and community stewardship at The Gallina Companies. Earth Day, founded in Madison, Wisconsin in the spring of 1970 by Senator Gaylord Nelson, brought together 20 million Americans to demand action for our planet. Fifty-five years later, we honor that legacy by continuing to conserve resources and promote energy efficiency across the communities we serve.
We are thrilled to share that several of our properties — LeSilve, The Ideal, Vicinato, The Marling, The Tuscany, and Bergamot — participate in HUD’s Green Certification program, an initiative that uses Energy Star scores to measure energy performance. We are proud to announce that all of these participating communities scored between 97 and 100, meaning they are more energy efficient than 97% to 100% of similar properties nationwide.
Achieving an Energy Star score in this range is an extraordinary accomplishment. These ratings demonstrate superior building performance and a strong commitment to minimizing environmental impact. It reflects not only our investment in quality construction and maintenance but also our dedication to providing our residents with sustainable, comfortable living spaces.
At The Gallina Companies, we believe that responsible stewardship includes creating lasting communities while protecting the resources we all share. Every energy-efficient improvement we make supports a healthier environment today and for generations to come.
As we celebrate Earth Day, we are inspired by Madison’s legacy of environmental leadership and energized to continue advancing sustainability efforts across all our properties. Thank you for being a part of our commitment to building a better, greener future.
Happy Earth Day from all of us at The Gallina Companies!
