Community Manager - Madison - Schroeder Square Last Updated: 11/9/2018

Position Description: Does working with people, selling quality products and performing a variety of tasks sound interesting to you? If so we have a great opportunity for you! We are seeking a full-time COMMUNITY MANAGER to manage our 72-unit Schroeder Square property located near the west side of Madison This is a full-time (40 hour/week) position. Candidates who are highly motivated, self-starters, and who have retail or property management sales experience along with a successful track record of providing excellent customer service are encouraged to apply. The Community Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the property including resident sales/leasing, marketing, resident relations, facilities management, personnel management, and other associated property management duties. Excellent customer service and communication and effective problem solving skills are essential. This position requires the ability to provide effective communication with vendors, residents and team members while making sound decisions on behalf of the property. The ideal candidate will have or exhibit: *A minimum of two years of on-site property management experience handling a site of comparable size OR an Associate Degree in sales, marketing, or related field preferred plus a minimum of one year of on-site property management experience of comparable size preferred. *A minimum of two years of providing excellent customer service and sales experience required *The ability to multi-task, and/or make independent decisions in a fast-paced customer service oriented work environment required. *The ability to communicate professionally, and tactfully. *A successful track record of management experience and accomplishments required *Management/Supervisory experience and a successful track record of positive team leadership and collaboration required. *Proficiency using Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook) or equivalent software required. *Property Management Certification and current knowledge of applicable housing laws and leasing agreements preferred. *Knowledge of or the ability to interpret accounting and/or financial information preferred. *Prior use of YARDI Property Management software preferred. Full-time hours are 40 hours/week (M-H until 6:00 p.m.) & shortened Saturday hours. Rotational on-call (estimated once every three weeks).
